砂糖のススキ（2001.8.28）


魚がすっ
と泳ぐと背中あたりから
甘い味のススキが出てきて
菓子の野原になる

それはかなり前の野原
コンペイトウのある
ころ
鍬はじくじくになっていて
それでもなお
川面に垂れ下がる枝は
それ自体が
砂糖でできている

瓶にコンペイトウを詰めるころ
全部錆びて
刃がもろくなり
甘いザラメになって
ただ顔は陰で
見えない
