Midsummer
With the sound of cicadas, you can feel how far summer has progressed.
It might vary depending on the region, and there may be places without cicadas, so this might be limited to the central region of Japan.
Early summer starts with the "Nini-zemi," followed by the "Abura-zemi." When the "Kuma-zemi" vigorously sings, it reminds me of the exciting feeling of summer vacation starting back in elementary school during midsummer.
When the "Min-min-zemi" sings, it gives a sense that summer has deepened.
When the "Tsuku-tsuku-boushi" sings, it's the end of summer.
Additionally, the "Higurashi" can be heard coming from the mountains behind.
The photo is of the "Abura-zemi" taken yesterday in the neighborhood.
